The update stinks of a cash grab. Like most others on here i thought when the new GC hit I could get a bunch of levels on the episode path. I'm a fairly new player in terms of the games life, just over 2 years and about 7.3m gp. I've spent quite a bit (by my standards) in that time, hyperdrive, and a few LSB as well as the occasional shard top up or ascension pack. In addition I've always bought the conquest pass.
That all combined has allowed me to get where I am today in terms of GP and roster, which meant I could generally always get 110+ on the weekly crate etc.
It already stunk of a cash grab last night, like poster mentioned above (but I didn't drop shards) I thought I was getting some cool rewards for completing things... but oh no, give us monies. Ok, I'll let that go.
So back to the GC. The GC is quite tricky for my limited Rebel Fighter roster, so I could only hit around tier 5. No worries, I did tier 10 with Huyang in my squad expecting a whole bunch of episode XP. Oh what's that? You replaced the original complete the battle with "win the battle whilst on the episode pass"... OK, but why no points for Huyang? Oh ofc, it was only 3 star Huyang for the first tier.. amd actually the stsr requirements increase by tier... meaning, more money...
I did manage the 400% TM removal... that's it. So already I only have about 1/3 of the rewards I would normally get Vs the old GC. It's all pay wall, and quite frankly I'm as of now completely FTP and will see how this pans out. If it carries on as cash grab, I'll walk away.
