When CG first started the pop-ups I think they wrote something about that there will not be a lot of them (obviously untrue) but I'm far to lazy to try to find that old post.

I think their goal is to make everyone who plays their game as miserable as possible until we all quit. They keep breaking their promises and changing the rules with every update. You can't tell me the dev team honestly thinks the playerbase would forget every time CG announces something. We assume they are telling the truth.
