This. Many seem to be forgetting that when you get "Princess Leia" you are not getting a "forever" version of her. You are getting the snap shot in time. She is clearly wearing her Episode IV white dress - not what she wore in SW:TFA.

General Leia Organa would be more support, ala Ackbar...who by the by, is the kind of support and abilities I always thought would have fit Mon Mothma more than our good Admiral Trapster...who probably should have been some kind of combination of Wedge and Veers lol.
