One problem (among others that have already been stated) is that the change is clearly not equal across the board. Certain characters have benefited by the change, others have been made far less potent by it.
Another issue is the complete lack of communication (or they simply threw out another untested update).
How do you know it's not equal?
Teams with high defense are much more difficult to beat. Teams without high defense are now easier to beat. The multiple threads questioning the sudden boost of certain characters and now some even thanking the devs for the "new armor/defense meta" make it pretty clear that the change favors certain characters /builds.
