Protection Regeneration

Imagine it every node you face a new team with brand new protection bars and you lost yours nodes ago. It will be like your team has a 50% health handicap each node.

It's a health nerf to the entire game basically.

@Baldo it's extra steps to upload an image when on mobile , if you already have a GW started your starting five don't have protection, I imagine they will once you start a new GW, I'm stating my theory using Phasma and Kylo who are on my bench and how their protection doesn't regenerate once gone.

I actually posted a thread about this but it was deleted or something. Here's what I said earlier.

Maybe I just don't understand this yet, but it seems like our larger health bars have been replaced with smaller ones and a protection bar above them. I have no issue with if they function the same way as health. Unfortunately they don't.

If you lose your protection bar you can't heal it back like you could with a larger health bar and it doesn't regenerate any portion of it between rounds. So if you lose your protection bars in round 1 you will be signifcantly more squishy by round 3 where you will face the most powerful enemies and would need the larger health bar the most.

Lastly I have to wonder how this will effect Galactic Warfare. Will you get your protection bar at node 1 and have no way to replenish it thru 12 nodes?

This does not function the same as a large health bar because you can't heal the protection bar and seems like an overall nerf to health across the board.

@Robbathehutt I think the protection mechanic would work well if you're able to regenerate it by healing a character past its max health.

@Robbathehutt But yea I agree the current mechanics leave us at a difficult handicap.

There is a general nerfing to healers in this. It makes especially auto healers much less valuable. Perhaps that was part of the idea of this update, take away some of the emphasis from healing, but this is a lame way to try doing it.

I think this will force us to keep our main teams fresh; it may be that we will need low level teams to beat the low level teams rather than using an arena team all the way through.

No, the notes said that it would only regen a little bit.
