They were not P2P first run, except maybe Malak because of the timing. JKR and DR were obvious and we had plenty of time with 8 attempts to farm the characters without $$$.

Seriously? Lmao you don’t remember the big controversy over needing brand new toons like Jolee, Bastilla, Zalbaar, etc? The same with DR. Malak was the most P2P of the three with only a couples days notice and a 72 hour long event.

On their second runs, really any events second run, it can’t be considered P2P anymore (maybe executor because of the insane relic costs but even then the argument can be made it isn’t)

Sure I remember the "controversy." Didn't stop me from getting JKR, DR and GAS without spending any money to get them (I did buy $50 in crystals to get Malak first run).

Controversy =/= P2P

The forums cry P2P/P2W about every new character, especially legendary events, since the beginning of time. Its the same reason we get those "fun" names from content creators that are money puns like Cash Spendar and TopCash, its easier to blame not getting something on the greedy corporation rather than not having the resources needed through gameplay. the "Tip of the spear" comment applies to paying and non-paying players.
