PSA: Gift Giving

Best bet is to try creating a new guild with another friend or account and gifting that way. Confirmed with a guild mate got it to work with just two accounts in a new guild that were ineligible in our guild. It worked to gift each other in the new guild and then were back to ineligible returning to our guild. It sounds as though it isn't 100 percent working for everyone who tries this, but confirmed has worked for some, which is apparently better odds than CG doing anything meaningful to provide a balanced workaround.
