It seems people are trying to compensate for what is a really stupid payout system. If the game just remembered your highest rank for the day and gave you that payout. You could have multiple people getting rank 1 rewards and life would be just fine.
On top of a really stupid payout system you have a broken AI system. Everyone knows that the AI does a shit job of defense, so the attacker always has a HUGE advantage.
On top of stupid payout system and broken AI, you have a bunch of entitled brats who think they deserve to be in the top 10 and treat it as a special club for members only. My opinion is that if you can't hold the position, you don't deserve the rewards. That is just the way life works and it is also the way they designed the game.
