Yes, I'm sure characters like Sol and Jecki could still be decent to play as in SWGOH depending on how the developers implement them which in some way could redeem them and the Acolyte. Heck, the Acolyte is only one small part of the greater High Republic multi-media series.
Honestly, if you're an older Star Wars fan then you'd know there are much more poorly received works in the Star Wars franchise like the Jedi Prince series or the Crystal Star; the latter which in a way had been redeemed with Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast.
