As far as the carbantis, I would farm them, buy them from the guild store or wait for challenges. You're paying 28 crystals per carbanti at that rate. You should average at least 2 per refresh(50 crystals) plus you'll get extra gear for the scavenger and credits.

I have a Google doc with an intense amount of information that's hard for me to parse (mostly because I truly still get confused with protypes, components, and salvage), which I am also thankful for, but this image helps me see much more effectively where to farm for what reasons and when to craft. Thanks.
