I am completely baffled by the lack of any communication, even meaningless communication. You know your community is up in arms over the last week and not even an empty "We are looking at these issues...

It's absolutely toxic, I grant you that. But IMO they've created this beast. It is after all, their forum, and thus, their responsibility.
Ok, not ignore. Pay lip service to. How's that? Metric include how much time u spend playing and how much money u spend. They can listen to us without paying mind to forum panic... which forum panic can lead to real changes in player perception and enjoyment in itself. Which can affect the metrics.
If EA listened to the forum concensus, we would all have a fully maxed toon every two weeks. Forum seems to have figured out that this would be optimal. Lol. Game would be dead in a year.
I agree that they should ignore the official forums. Too often when there's an issue with the game we as players aren't able to voice our concerns without the mods butting in and showing a conflict of interest. Reddit has and always will be the superior method of communication with the devs of this game.
