I know this is a question of likes and dislikes. I loved the mods even though they changed the game, but it was like that for everyone. I think that whales or at least some of them bought loads of mods but then came the uproar in the forums how they change the game too much. At this point i think they should have left the game stand as it was, as more people wouldve gotten the mods the game evens out.
now when mods have been "balanced" people feel robbed. But it wasnt ea it was the players that cried out wolf, even if the effects were not clear yet.
i also understand people want to get some response from the devs, but if you look the feedback in the forums it clearly isnt worth the time to read it(not always, u have gems drowned in a pool of s___.).
i have played many games, and since the games went online, be the game pc, console or mobile, it has become a thing to update it. some updates hit the point some dont. back in a day with commodore 64 the updates werent bad, as there was no way to update you casette or disk.
I know i cant speak for all but for me the gw is fine. even though this is a mobile game, i like to play it, get away from the harsh reality and try to beat the teams in gw. didnt like it when it was too easy, tought why bother, just give out the stuff in daily.
and what comes to poor credits of gw, its not poor unless you have a great squad, still that 500k does wonders to you level 1 toon, not for 70 nor maybe even 60. but its like the man with 5 stanley cup rings might of said, the first was great, second was fine, third, well, it just was.
the goal isnt to get a toon a day to max. i dont have any toon totally maxed(can it ever be now with mods).
the point is that the player base needs a voice and it cant be TI, it cant be whales, it must be a field, that contains of people with different opinions on how things should be.
Have nothing agains TI nor EA, but still i do think that if a team says we aint gonna pay for this, it shouldnt be like that. if you read the forum you will find that there are a lot of people who were happy with the mods even if it changed the game.
we can have a discussion what mod means, but as i understand it, it should modify something, and when they came out, it certainly did.
was it too much? dont know, not for me, i can adapt(kudos for me:-)).
ea should make some sort of a player advisory pool containing many kinds of players yet i dont know if you ever make us happy. i like to play and dont mind the gw. should it take away from the family or job, of course not, but should all content be just simmable, not in my opinion.
i like the way they said gw is fine, as it meant they believe in what they are doing. hate that they submitted them selves to threatens in the mods.
and what comes to customer relations, hadnt had a problem so i dont know, but give me a company and ill show you a problem. ;-)
and i also understand that this is a money making machine like any other game.
