Raid Difficulty Has Shifted - CG, Do You Think We Are Stupid?

No, droideka did not used to take 3.5 turns for each of mine last month (mods did not change).

No, B1's on Tier 4 did not used to have enough health to survive a full round of attacks from jedi with potency up under Lumi zeta.

No, leader B1 did not used to be able to 1v5 my entire team for so long they stack 30% enrage meter.

The difficulty of this raid has been silently changing. We all know it, we all feel it, and guilds are being frustrated by it. CG, if you are going to move the goalposts on us, the least you could do is try to poorly communicate it like you have done through the Punishing One fleet ecosystem disaster. Why keep your players in the dark and treat us like we are too dumb to notice changes to hidden raid stats?

    My maul team is getting better scores every time. But it’s still a dreadful thing to go through especially that protection disruption thing.

  • As much as I hate this raid, I have to admit that I haven't seen much of a change over the last few weeks. It is VERY dependent on RNG. Last round, it took me about 5-6 tries to get a good score with my Lumy team. Today, it took me 2 tries.  I think some of the issue is the frustration of thinking I did something wrong and I need to do something "different", but in all actuality it was RNG that got me. The best thing I've done was to slow down, really get to know the raid mechanics and spend some time playing with my teams to see how they interact with each other and the enemies. Hope this helps.

    What complete and utter nonsense from you.

    Much of our guild has settled on its teams and mods  and are getting consistent scores, without much effort either. I myself personally take 20 minutes max to run through it.

    f you're still having issues then the issue is you and not some fantasy difficulty change you have come up with.

      Gungans on full auto takes about 7 mins to get 2.7m. B2 lead maul on full auto takes about 8 mins at the same tier. And you do all 5 runs in 20 mins? Im not even counting the time it takes to swap mods. That alone takes 10 mins if you dont use HU.

      Im in guild that takes the top box every time. This garbage takes 1-2 hrs to do on average. Sometimes more if rng doesnt go your way. It takes me an hr to get all 5 runs in 1 shot (which is super rare) to get about 11.5m.

        Exactly. I'm using the teams recommended by Scrybe (I'm using leftover droids until I relic my QAmidala team, though), they're all at relic levels, my mods are by no means the best, but they're not garbage either, yet I still manage to get a decent 5M each time. And whether or not the raid has been adjusted, secretly or otherwise, it still takes me hours because of all the RNG-induced restarts. My R5 Gungans take about 5 minutes on auto to get the max score or at least close to it, depending on how they deal with the bonus turn/DI DDK thing, and that's the easiest and least RNG-filled run. My Lumi team needs multiple restarts because the enemy keeps removing my HoT/PotUp and/or hiding behind the DI DDK with constant bonus turns. And the Maul-Sid-Nute team is the biggest pain of them all, that alone takes at least a dozen attempts, each attempt lasting more than five minutes, because of: constant enemy bonus turns, healing back to full health anytime they attack, DI DDK, TM being reset at the start of each wave, STAP inflicting Provoked and causing my Sidious to basically kill himself off.

        I understand everyone has a different roster and it's not exactly fair to compare one player to another, but I just have a hard time figuring out where the other guy got that 20 minute max thing from. Either he has all R9s with above-god-tier mods and consistently stellar RNG, or he just hits auto and submits whatever score he gets. In either case, he can't expect everyone else to be the same. And let me tell you, everyone in my guild that has so far shared their opinion on the raid has said the same things - too much RNG, overtuned enemies, too much time and restarts, annoying bonus turns, etc.

  • I can’t wait for this raid to end. I dread doing it every time. The time, the frustration, the RNG. 

  • The Droideka thing is not new or a bug. If you have the misfortune of leaving the command droid and a damage immune Droideka on a wave where command droid has the bonus turn buff, the Droideka will almost invariably get the bonus turn, which means as soon as you use a toon’s ability to dispel the damage immunity, Droideka will take a bonus turn and put it right back on. It seems like the cooldowns are being messed with, but it’s just the bonus turn nonsense which can only go to one of two enemy units, both of which are bad. 

    The raid hasn’t been made more difficult.

      Yeah, as annoying as it is, getting stuck behind DDKs with constant bonus turns, it's not a bug. There is however something wrong with the cooldowns on both DDK and the Commander, no matter where I look I can't find anything to explain it. Their specials are supposed to have a cooldown of 3, yet the moment they use the special it starts automatically at 2, which makes things far more frustrating than they already are.

        This was the first time, I was seeing every second wave as charged.  That was through lots of restarts on multiple teams.

    The only changes they've made were nerfing the first two or three tiers. It's unfortunately just the ludicrous amounts of RNG and the ridiculously overtuned enemies and modifiers that make the raid such a trainwreck. And I can definitely understand your concerns over its becoming more and more frustrating. These last few runs, the DDKs and even the regular B1s have been dodging way too often, for example. Protection disruption is still being applied to Gungans. The whole TM reset at the start of each wave, especially when you're running a Maul team. I could go on and on. The theme and the visuals are great, it's the execution that leaves a lot to be desired. I can hardly wait to see what the next raid will be like.

    I actually didn’t feel much of a change probably because I am a low tier player but I definitely agree that punishing one is a disaster and CG is cooking up something bad and pretending nothing is happening as if we are idiots. One thing is the drop rates on some of the nodes. I definitely think that it is getting unbalanced or maybe I’m just being impatient. I’m not sure.
