RAID Length

It’s to try and reduce people guild hopping so much. Those are the only people it will affect. For everyone else the net effect is nothing. Patience, you must have.

With this new format guild members have the entire length of the raid window to do attacks and earn personal rewards, at least for the Krayt raid.

Hence, the raid is open for the entire timer.

The issue for Krayt is that the raid is eternal now. Three days open, launch new raid. Rinse and repeat.

I'm finding that I really, REALLY like having three whole days to deal with the raid. If I'm bored I can run all my teams. If I'm busy I can do one team and come back to it later. I can do a 2/2/1 split. I have options and flexibility on timing and level of effort.

I LOVE the way raids work now. This is such a vast improvement over "Ahmahgahd! I'm 10 minutes late for the raid! Ahmahgahd! I won't get all my damage in!" or "Welp. Missed another one..."

Too bad the raid feels more like fighting an Ogrimmar practice dummy than bringing down Nefarian

I agree with some of the others that the timing change of the guild is one of the positives (IMO). Much more convenient to attack when I want and have free time or am bored, and not constrained to having to attack with a specific team at a specific time/phase like CPit. Plus like others said, basically finish it, then start it up again.

CG isn’t in danger of losing people who are fine with it. There are players who already think the game is too slow and grindy. But it’s their game, so *shrug*.

Once the excess tickets run out, no matter how fast you complete it you can only get heroic str rewards every 3 days.
The only difference is, are you waiting 3 days for raid to open to get rewards or are you waiting 3 days for the raid to end to get rewards. Still 3 day wait between getting rewards.

To some people it is more stressful/frustrating to wait once something is completed rather than waiting to start, even if the time to reward is the same. This is not a right/wrong thing but a preference one. Unless they figure out a way to individualize it, you will have group(s) of disappointed people on these issues.

The smart thing is to not mess around with reward intervals at all once they are established. Unless the intention is to remove overall rewards, of course. Then irregular intervals makes sense to keep up a behavior during periods of absent rewards.

I get that hence the posts, but it is easy to let go of the stress/frustration in this case, because it is simply perception. Reward interval stays the same (+/- a couple hours/minutes) regardless of the length of the raid
