Raid tix limit and the cost of heroic sith raid

The hSTR cost 110K tix to launch. The tix limit is 150k. An ambitious guild makes 30k tix per day. that is a problem.

If a guild for some reason want to postpone the launch of the raid by just 1 day (and launch time is after payout) they will risk loosing tix.

An example:
We run hSTR with a 24 hours join period, as do most guilds.
We had 105k tix yesterday before payout. After we had 135k. This evening there is Territory battles, so we didn't want to launch the raid as the 2 events would collide. If we don't launch it before payout today (19:30 CET), then we will hit the tix limit of 150k. Usually we run the raid at 20:00 CET.
The solution is to launch it at 19:00 today (or at 19:29 at the latest) have a join period of 24 hours (as long as we are allowed to let it run) and then tell everybody that the raid isn't free until 20 a clock although they can attack earlier.

Sure, we will manage, but it's neither elegant nor practical.

There is a few easy solutions:

  • Raise the tix limit to 160-180k. Which also will have the derivative effect of helping smaller guilds a bit.
  • Let us select a join period of more than 24 hours. This solution doesn't really affect anything else.

While both solutions would work right now, they will still not be enough when the next raid with at cost of 150k, 200k, 500k comes along.

Something for GC to think about :)
    • As you said it is your choice to delay, but yes I'm sure they could adjust it.

There are a few reasons why they "can't" or won't
      - it is balanced so that you cant easily hit the raid limit and be locked out of rewards.
      - it keeps people active and keeps things rolling forward
      - it limits the buffer, keeping people active on daily 600

You also have 3 days to do the raid, with a 24 hour join and 2 days to do the raid. This this setup you could easily postpone a raid for 1 day and still launch it at the same time to not lose tickets.
    • The simple solution in case you want to delay the actual raid while close to the ticket limit, would be to start the raid as normal with the 24h join period, but then delay the time for actually doing any battle. Just tell your guild to not do any damage the first 24h or whatever.
