GL Rey is a great character. She can really wreck someone's day in GAC if they don't 1-shot her. She's fantastic on defense and she's really not too shabby on offense. She'll get even better with Swolo. Throw in a Finn omicron for TB and you've got a great GAC team and two excellent LS Geo teams. JTR is also still very utilitarian in GAC and TW for handling bounty hunter and first order teams.
There's plenty of reasons to get GL Rey. Not that I would turn down another omicron in the resistance faction but farming GL Rey is far from a waste of resources.
