I totally get what you are saying, but I think the short answer to your question is power creep. CG isn't in the habit of changing the rewards on an event they already released. Look at the Omega battles. One omega...seriously? But, with the newer toons coming out, CG does seem to modernize their rewards, but it takes a lot more to get them. For instances you can pretty much clear CT3 of Rebel Roundup (old Assault Battle) with less than R3 Imp Troopers, which is a pretty low kyro team. But if you want the top tier of Duel of Fates, well you need to R9 the Poncho Bros, who are very high in Kyro's. CG has to keep a healthy balance on the rewards. They need pay to play to keep the game going, but it still needs to be entertaining for F2P as well.
