Renewing the call for Relic sorting.

"In your situation." Are you...saying you don't know the relic levels of your own characters? What would you use the sort for?

In an Enterprise grade development environment, a very small fix like this wouldn't take more than 15 minutes to go through all the development pipeline stages, before being released. If we take into account that they have stated several times that they do QA after release... then it would take less than 30 seconds.

It's really a shame that such a fix hasn't been implemented yet.

Nonsense. In such an environment, one where an application exists in 2 app stores and also a PC App it is delayed by the app stores alone (particularly the Apple one). You also seem to miss the fact that this "simple task" will put pressure on the infrastructure that host the game, and that consideration has to be made that potentially every single player at once may request this sort. Yes, its unlikely but it still has to be considered and load tested.

Nice that you googled some terms but its much more complex than your quite frankly simplistic and laughably ignorant idea as to how mobile app development and publishing works (or in fact any kind of software development).

First off, maybe take a moment to actually read: when I wrote “before being released,” I was clearly referring to internal deployment before the app is pushed to the stores, where updates are typically published in batches anyway.

Since you brought up the "infrastructure", you might want to pick a lane: does the query run client-side or server-side? Because it’s one or the other, not both. If it’s client-side, your infrastructure concerns are irrelevant. If it’s server-side, then the app store approval process has almost nothing to do with it.

And finally, if the backend can’t handle a change on an "ORDER BY" clause of an existing query, then there are far bigger problems than a sort adjustment.

Disagreement is fine. Dismissing someone else opinion with arrogance without knowing how actually the thing works? That’s just lazy.

1. To look at how many r9s I have in which factions, to allow me to quickly see which factions could field a new, effective squad for r9 TB planets.

2. To see all my r1s at once, so that it's easy to boost everything to r3 without missing something. 

Those are the two things I've wanted to use it for in the last couple weeks. 

And yes, I'm saying that out of the 298 characters which exist, and out of the 293 of them I have at relic, I do not have all the relic levels of all those toons memorized. But honestly that's not even the most important part. Even if I had the relic level of each toon memorized, I would still want to SORT them so that I can take one toon from r1 => r2 then go to the next toon, then the next, then the next in a systematic, efficient way. Because of different #s of zetas on each toon (and different #s of total abilities) some low-relic toons will be buried in the middle of a cluster of much higher relic toons. Knowing the name and relic tier of each of your toons doesn't help you immediately find the toon you're looking for unless you ALSO have the GP of every single toon memorized. 

On the downside, I don't get much fun out of memorizing random numbers anymore. On the plus side I did once memorize 230 digits of pi, which was a great way to waste time on the school bus in 4th grade.

Seedy, and I, have almost double the amount of characters at relics than you have. Suggesting that us not knowing the relic levels of all of our characters means we aren’t using our brains is frankly embarrassing from you. 

You’re developing a habit of joining a thread to dismiss suggestions that you don’t see any use for personally because you aren’t able to see things from the position of others. I typically avoid people who are like this because they don’t have a full comprehension of the world beyond their own horizons. 

Whills clearly doesn't understand that point that even if I had the relic level of every toon memorized, the sort feature orders them for ease of operations, not ease of memory. I'd like to, when I feel I have enough spare signal data, be able to line up my remaining r1s and take them all to r2. It's not about not being able to find an r1 toon. It's about being able to go efficiently from one toon to the next. 

Which, if you have a life outside of SWGOH, can be useful. 

It’s weird that you choose Gear Tier and then it sorts the relic character alphabetically. Whoever put that sort together clearly missed the point of the Gear Tier selection. 

It would be nice if CG redid that search to include relic levels as individual Gear Tiers.
