Resistance ZFinn squad... arena viable?

What's up fellas

Getting tired of my Sith squad. Sure I finish 1-2 everyday on rotation, but looking to maybe switch things up one day.

I have zFinn, which I use in p2 of HAAT. With the other 4 usual suspects.

But with the arrival of R2D2, wondering how effective they could be in arena. Let's say I was to switch RP.

Not "that" many Zaul's on my shard tho (well not in top 10, they all in 15-50 spots), lots of top people converted back to Rex lead squads. I'm on a December 2015, so lots of good and deep rosters.

Basically on offense I know I could win, but how well would it be on defense? I don't move much as is, so that's great. I fear I would if I did the switch tho.

I don't have a viable Chaze duo... so that's not an option.

I have 32 g11 toons, yet I can't seem to find another arena viable squad to use.

    it's sad that outside of Maul teams with its inherent dodge RNG and Rex teams with its help from being crit hit, other teams are so solely speed secondary dependent.

    I too would love to run a resistance team but I can't compete with the whales on my shard whose +speeds are all at least 20 to 50 better than mine. Rex is my only chance, sigh.

    i can't even pull the trigger on any leader Zeta 'cause of this. not gonna chase Maul now, and don't care for Vader either. so it's Finn or QGJ.

    to the OP, how well does zFinn teams do in HAAT p2? that was literally my only excuse to lean towards more resistance than Jedi. My Jedi already does ok in p1

    It's a decent team and pretty fun to play... can compete it high end arena offensively but will drop like a rock on defense...

    Hey Styling, Haven't posted in ages but saw your thread. I am on your server and I always run resistance in arena. I can take #1 most days since the guys before my payout run Rex leads, although on def its sucks pretty bad. Usually only drop to about 20th each day but sometimes down to 35 ish at most. Either way I can get back to the top with 0-1 refreshes each day. I use zFinn, Poe, zRey, RT, and zSid.

    I really like playing the team, and the challenge of beating other teams and getting the lockdown on them. It sucks against Maul, and I will swap to a Rex led team if I have to to climb past those teams, but against all of the other teams on our leader board I can usually win with it. I am working on some other stuff but lately just prefer to stick with this since I have fun doing it.

    Currently grinding gear for R2D2 and hope to try him out on that team in the next week or two.

    @KarsaO I know, but I don't want to drop past 6-7 in a day lol, payout is at a bad time for me, so prefer not to lose too much ground lol

    Got R2 in with the resistance team and its working great (replaced zSid). So far just the first zeta for debuff dispel upon crit. Can beat all the top teams now, and Maul is no problem anymore.

    The anti-dodge stuff is nice, but for resistance the biggest boon is having a regular AOE that gains TM with the rest of the team. R2 will AOE every single turn to keep setting off exposes and ensuring the lock down continues. Taunts are pretty much meaningless against this team now. Fun times ahead for the resistance.

    Saw a video where I guy was running Finn, poe, Zylo, Kenobi, and B2 and he was doing pretty well against a lot of the top teams. Would use Poe to taunt, kylo to aoe and reset Poes Cooldowns so he could taunt and expose again, and just continue whittling away at the other team
