Then you get maybe 1 hit on him before he basics and then immediately aoe's again. Your done at that point. Especially since you can't debuff him, nothing sticks. Seems to me nobody actually tested it before releasing it. Maybe Phoenix would work at Relic 7, but I will never know.
Maybe it's mods. Plague does all the work for you but it is definitely RNG dependent.
