I don't want to talk about the Colosseum; that's not what I'm looking for. But I really miss logging into the game every now and then and playing with the characters that took me so long to farm...
It would be great to have a mode where you can simply play without any benefits just for enjoyment. I would like everyone to share their opinion so that perhaps someone listens.
People have asked for this exact thing (a sandbox) for years without success. Don't expect anything to change now.
I never really liked the galactic challenges, the feats were often quite annoying, but they look like awesome fun when compared to the new version.
I would welcome them back. Sometimes it wasn’t great if you hadn’t farmed the right characters. But it allowed for experimentation with teams.
I feel the exact same, let's you test out toons and different team compositions. Develop strategies etc. Couldn't agree with you more.
I hated Galactic Challenges, it was my least favourite game mod. Mainly because of the fact that there was no feat counter. GC should never have been released like that. Playing for 15 minutes not knowing if you're even doing the right thing was ridiculous. So, form this perspective I'm happy it's gone.
That said, things did get a lot better towards the end. Also, I usually got straight into it when a new one was released. And, as several people have said, it was the closest we had to a Sandbox mode.
Do I miss it? No. Do I understand why others miss it? Yes.
I understand you. Many times I wouldn't complete the feats, but I would start playing with different character setups to see what relic level they could reach. That was the most fun for me. I wasn't competing with anyone... It was simply about enjoying it.
And since I don't think they're going to release a sandbox (mode), maybe we should ask for a mode they already created to come back. I think they would only have to copy and paste the code again. They wouldn't have to invest a single dollar, and the people who enjoyed it could continue to do so.
I understand what you're saying, but it was literally the only place to actually PLAY THE GAME. You get in GAC, and for me 90% of the time I'm saying 10-12 million GP and 4 GL with my 4 million GP. Half the battles im dead before taking a turn. Once you get high enough in arena battles you only face teams that annihilate you, so you can't use your lesser farmed teams or they won't even take a turn... Basically you can't use a team until they are relic 5 and you've spent a year and a half farming them. Just to find out they are garbage? Galactic Challenges also helped learn the mechanics of new teams. **bleep**, it was what I played for actual fun. The rest is sim farmville.
