@Goride idk if you figured this already but the reason I'd have Barriss here isn't her direct heal, it's her dispel, and Zeta of healing 20% on any crit. Between her and shaman, I don't think you will die even from the big cannon. I don't know if you can survive hits from the big cannon without her. Also, the boss inflicts heal immunity, which shaman cant heal through, and only barriss can dispel.

If you could get through to enrage, maybe it would be worth gam guard instead, but I do think you'd need barriss for this
