Shard shop now useless?
What is the point of the shard shop now ? Because now we can get Vader and Grievous's shard for cheaper in fleet's shipment.

It was never meant to be a farm spot. It's meant to give you something to do with the random shards you get for 7* characters from bronziums or Galactic War.
Still fills that purpose, it's just that now that there are things to do with GW currency again (ships) its main source of tokens has dried up. Thos is a good thing. Shard Shop is supposed to be a measure of last resort when all other content is exhausted
