Still not getting the hate. The only legit complaint I'm hearing is that of RNG, and I'm not personally seeing it. I think it's about the same as before, or maybe even less dependent on RNG. There's a bigger emphasis on starting line-up strategy and reinforcement strategy.
I don't get the RNG argument, either. The only ship that's reliant on random numbers is the TIE Fighter's dodge, which got lowered because it was **** high before. But, regardless, there is and always has been a way around that: TIE Advance, Poe Dameron, and Clone ARC all have attacks that can't miss. There may even be more that I've just forgotten about.
I eat TIEs for breakfast and dinner, almost literally since I do a ship fights before work and after I get home."swgohfan29;c-1558480" wrote:
2 ships*
maybe 4 if you went into Falcon and TS
Edit: Forgot about Endurance, but mainly because it was bad anyway."Nikoms565;c-1558483" wrote:
Some players have spent months farming ships and gearing/modding pilots for them. Others have actually spent money on ships. Several of those ships were nerfed very strongly in the recent update. Reaper, TFP, and Millennium Falcon to name just a few."Qhue;c-1558485" wrote:
The evisceration of ships like the Falcon, which was not part of the core meta pre 2.0,
What's with all the revisionist history about Millennium Falcon? It's always been bad, but now it's at least useable. It was too slow in 1.0, and when you finally got a turn you had to Thrust Reversal to get any use out of it, then wait another full turn before you could do anything--by which time you were already dead. And even if you didn't die before then, you still had no stacks of Reversal left because they'd been dispelled by Asohka or TIE Advance or whatever.
Now you can bring it in as a reinforcement and you've already got stacks of Reversal on it, meaning you can get at least one AoE off or a couple snap shot basics, and probably a target lock or two.
Why are folks trying to gaslight everyone into thinking the Falcon was some righteous and kick-**** ship that is now garbage, when it's always been garbage and now it's been recycled into a paper weight?
My main point about nerfing ships was the 2 capital ships, TF, and Reaper. And I know the Falcon wasn't amazing, but I did use it as my "last" reinforcement. It wasn't bad to come in and use it's spread attack to finish a lot of ships off with low damage. It does hit pretty hard, but yes, that was really all it was good for.
