Shoretrooper and Baze

this is exactly why i'm f2p all the way. I don't mind paying for content... but these prices really are simply aim'd toward a very very narrow demographic... at least a demographic that i personally do not want to be a part of

There is a reason why the newer toons (and best) aren't FTP...cause they make money! And people WILL pay for them. Rex for example was P2P til November when he finally became available in Fleet shipments. Since they were just added into the PvE shipments it won't be any time soon they are FTP. There is nothing wrong with the Developers to make these characters P2P either. If you are willing to spend REAL cash that you worked for, then you should get something for it.

Definitely not trolling I'm just stating the fact that people who pay for this game are the ones who keep updated and new content coming. Therefore these toons will be exclusive to them for a while. Everyone wants to complain that they aren't F2P. Eventually. They will.

Agreed. New toons are money makers. Even though it will cost an insane amount of crystals to 7* one of them, it's just a waiting game for most of us. Crystals accumulate somewhat quickly IMO and are free, unless you buy a pack. I have a decent amount of crystals right now, only need 2 shards to finally get shoretrooper unlocked, and I will level and gear him and be happy making the grind to 7* for as few actual dollars as possible.

Just wait till they release a Jedi Luke... folks are going to bleed money for him and EA/CG know it.

I had a bunch of excess crystals (they just build up when you only buy Sim tickets), so I managed to get a 3* Shore. I'm probably not going to ever use him unless he becomes properly farmable, but at least I get to say I own a Shoretrooper.

I certainly don't plan on bankrupting myself trying to get him to 7*.

Gear up 3* Shore and he'll do nicely, doesn't need to be 7* to be effective. I would get him to 4* tho, it's worth the trouble of farming 30 shards from shipments.

@WrathofCaedus, is the difference between a G10 3* Shoretrooper and a 4* one really worth using that many purples for?

Yes, for sure. But unlike baze, shore can stay relevant at 4*...
