Shoretrooper can barely be considered FTP
Dear EA,
It's cool that you put shoretrooper on a hard node. I guess that makes him slightly more available than before.
But let's not pretend that putting him on 9B makes him FTP. Not only is 9B incredibly difficult, but even pretending you could easily 3* the node, you get to take 60 energy a day away from gear farming to get, on average, 1 shoretrooper shard a day. In one month you can make a 3* shoretrooper into 4* and two months after that he can be 5*. Assuming you have an Android phone and already have him unlocked at 3*, that's over 9 months before you can get shoretrooper to 7*. In comparison to a cantina node, that's 8 to 9 other characters you can get to 7* before shoretrooper.
I toyed with the idea, briefly, of wanting shoretrooper on my team, and I hear at 4* gear 11 he still works in arena, but with so many other good characters I have at 7* just waiting to be leveled, I can't really see the point.
So this post isn't to complain that you put him on 9B. That's cool. More availability is always a little better.
Let's just not pretend he's free to play. To get him in any kind of reasonable time frame, you're still going to be spending a lot of crystals on energy and node refreshes.
