Hey guys. I was watching Anhald's video today of the hyperdrive bundle restart. It made me wonder and think. I started playing the game since launch, but I have taken long, several month-long or even year-long breaks.As such, I was and am behind. I re-started in June or July of 2019. I got focused and started building a powerful roster. After Christmas, I bought the hyperdrive bundle with christmas money. It had a medium-level impact on my account. I was already level 85, but I didn't have the zeta challenge unlocked, and I didn't have Nightsisters, or some other key characters and ships. I have now progressed much farther and am happy with my progress. I was able to get CLS and Chimera. Now however, I wonder if it may have been a little more fun to restart. A lot of progress would be gone, but I would have so much more opportunity. I will not restart now, I have put too much time and money in. However, if I win the lottery or something in the future, is it somewhat fun to restart with the bundle and stomp on everyone with years of experience and decent characters?

No point in restarting. You are already ahead of a new account with hyperdrive and other stuff. Just keep continuing on your current one

If youre on an account that youve had simce the begining. Then i disagree with ultra. You may be ahead of a new account. But youre behind 80% of your active shard who didnt take a break..

You may be behind your active shard, but how much of your shard is active? I estimate my shard (Nov '15) has maybe 300 active players. A brand new shard has what, 10,000 active players? Old shard has more mature teams in the top spots so it's hard to get up there, new shard is a barbarian horde in a battle royale for top honors. Choose your poison.

If Anhald said you have to restart then you have to restart. I don’t think you have a choice in the matter, youtubers always knows best.

I don't think it's ever a good idea to restart. Why throw away all the money and time you spent on one account just to go spend it on another? To maybe get higher in your arena shard if you don't have many others doing the exact same thing? Risky. Just keep plugging away, saving zetas and anticipating the new meta and you will be back on top eventually.

Not wrong but not entirely true. I'm in a launch shard and took a bit over a year off the game. Resumed playing the account just before 2nd anniversary. Took me about a year of hard grinding and occasionally spending, and jumped into buying JKR early. That helped me catch the top of the wave and since I've kept top spots and grown even more rapidly without regular spending. You can keep an old account and make it work.

The biggest reason not to restart before was the annoying struggle getting an account started. Now with hyperdrive bundle if you're willing to drop $100, starting a new account becomes nearly painless and youre pretty reliably gonna hit top 20 and have a solid regular crystal income.

No. Your gameplay is sporadic. That is unlikely to change. Enjoy the journey instead as your type of gameplay will never get you top arena

??? Sorry, but what? I've played every day consistenly since I restarted in June or July. I'm in the top 200 of my shard. Why do you assume my gameplay is sporadic and I will never get to the top?

What you could do is continue playing your main account but start an alternate account. And then, depending on which one you enjoy more, make your decision that way.

No. You've already bought the hyperdrive bundle. It's not like you can transfer purchases to a new account.

I’ve been considering the same thing. I have taken a ton of breaks as well and considered a restart to get ahead in arena. However one thing that I saw in Ahnald’s video is that you can get somewhat top end but eventually the whales will overtake you. As an example Ahnald started that p2p account and got JKR by spending 400$ (his words) and he is in #2 position in arena. In a very young shard whales are already emerging and with time more will come up and put you in a similar position that you are in now.

My opinion is this: if you have under 1.25Mio GP and you act is 2 years or older then restart. If your like me, I have a 1.6Mio GP and a Shard from 2015 Nov. I have next to no chance of getting in top end arena however I have a CLS and every other legendary char released before JTRey. So I have good characters for GAC and some special TB platoons. The restart will be worth it if you can get top end but it’s gonna cost a lot of money or you won’t get the free crystals
