Should I hold off bringing Lumi to 7 stars?

All of my characters are in a slow holding pattern, around 45-50 right now, just slowly grinding, building up gear and Ability Mats, and starring them, most are in the 3-5 stars, mostly 4/5. Lumi is 6 stars, and I've been banking a lot of GW tokens. Considering I'm more often than note able to get through GW, or at least 2/3rds, I'm just worried that 7 starring a character will trigger something in GW matchmaking, given that my Arena power is around 13K right now, and I really don't wanna mess with that. Just wondering how much average power a character jumps up when you go from 6-7 stars. Or, worst case, just keep sharding her, and use the excess once she goes past 100, and don't promote, but convert extra shards for the shop for a while?

    You have to promote her before you can get convert the shards in the shard shop. :(

    Don't worry about the jump in GW if you get Lumi to 7*, it hasn't actually been proven how Gw works.
    A 7* Lumi will be a huge boost in GW anyway.

    Personally I would use my extra shards to work on another toon, (no hints on which one I would work on as it is a matter of personal choice).
    Don't worry about the shard shop until you are level 70 and have a nice team + bench for Gw.

    Fair enough, I'm just extremely paranoid about messing up GW for me for the time being, and given people raging about it at times, you can see why. So, 7 starring one character is most likely not going to mess anything up? I mean, I'm just wondering how much I can build my arena power before GW starts kicking me in the butt is all. Another 1K on average, 2?

    No she is way too useful not to bring her to 7 stars, I don't think one character will change your GW that much as I think it takes into account your top ten characters overall.

    I don't know, but my Lumi has been sitting at 6* (102/100) for several weeks now for the same reasons as you. I don't really NEED to 7* her since I'm not using her in Arena anymore and have been completing GW regularly, so there she sits patiently awaiting promotion. Why don't you give it a try and tell me what happens? o:)

    Ok, fair enough, I'm just very nervous about messing up. I've basically been slowly building up all my secondary chars till I have a couple B/C 1 node per team groups. Also then, not sure who to boost next off GW. Phasma is at 5, and so is Poggle. Not sure if I should focus on one of them more, or work on boosting/getting someone else, like Biggs or Dathcha.
