Sim HSTR?

Great point about playable content! HSTR is one of the biggest events available, with a variety of setups and different ways to beat it; a good litmus test for how strong are some of your non-meta GL's. Sorry to everyone complaining about certain event schedules overlapping, but there are still many days when a one-time login to run daily events is all there is that day. HSTR and AB's are also invaluable things to do, otherwise you might only be left with a manual run of Galactic War!!

Cg cannot fulfil promises. Such a sad state of the game (esp in terms of gear economy)

Add one more tier to HSTR... Make it harder with better rewards. Since cg can reskin rancor...

It will happen along with the promised gear changes... Which will be never.

Won't matter. We have a guild policy that says minimum 30 mins until you can post a solo score and lock the raid. :)

Please don't troll: the argument is that they purposely set up HAAT & Pit so that simming is a net gain for the guild, and that therefore if they ever bother to set up HSTR to be simmable, they will set it up in such a way that the rewards once again penalize anyone who consistently comes in top10, but is nonetheless a net gain for the guild.

The argument is that CG didn't set the prior rewards by accident and that we can infer a policy choice from the two data points of HAAT & Pit.

Now you can argue (for whatever reason) that there is no policy at CG to make a simmed raid provide a net benefit to guilds and that the previous outcomes were a coincidence, but asking for the math on the HSTR sim rewards is disingenuous.

IIRC there was even a post to the effect that they intended for sims to benefit the guild as a whole, which would render any argument you make to the contrary about future HSTR sims irrelevant and ineffective. But hey, my memory could be wrong. If you want to contribute to the conversation, just make an argument about why you think that HSTR reward structures would be different post-sim implementation than HAAT & Pit reward structures. If it's plausible, it might even be worth it for me to hunt down that earlier post about simmed rewards and CG's intent that it provide a net benefit.

Same as gear: cg thinks the raid is already simable enough…

No one is saying take away your ability to do hstr. Guilds can run any raid if they like. But there are a lot of us that just want to sim the raids because they've become stale, boring and time wasters. We'd rather have rewards that give better amounts of gear to the overall guild, especially considering it is in everyone's best interest for the guild as a whole to grow quicker so you can start fighting for those R9 mats.

I... Don't think anyone thinks that? And if they do they aren't reading. I think his point was that it's still valuable to some guilds as playable content - which was also my point. But I maintain that I think the option to sim should be available to those that want it - regardless of what the reward structure does or doesn't do for the guild as a whole.
