So no, it's not related. - harvey2faces7 years agoNew Travelerhmm my phone is perfectly fine (Pixel 2 XL running Android Q Beta). But on my PC I run Leapdroid emulator (still 4.4 as the guy was bought out and hired to be at Google doing the Android studio stuff) - not sure if it will still be working past 18/6 or not now :(
- @Kyno what is your take then on older devices that have lower than 6.0 but are not on the list and do not have x86 cpu, are going to work or not after the update? panicing here running out of time don't know if i need come up with funds to buy something next couple days

Lot of people has 6.0 or lower. My phone is 7.0 and I bought it 2 years ago. My tablet, where I have my guest account, isn't in the list, but it has 5.2. So it is necessary to give us more details about this restrictive update...
You have all info you need.
Look at the list, if your phone/tablet isn't on there it will still work.
More important is creating an account, if you don't wanna lose your progress at some point.
If you have a "common" model I think you can feel safe if your not on the list. But I would be surprised if that is a complete list of all unsupported phones.... So if you have an older phone/tablet not on the list, I would not feel safe. I do wonder what will happen if you can't update your device and you have not recorded you player id(or wrote down a 1 instead of a lowercase "L") or have not linked your account to Google. That will Likly happen a number of players, good luck with, EA/CG support if that happens to you
swgoh.gg has a tool that you can use to make sure that all the characters are correct. - I think older device are already unable to play, otherwise this makes no sense
- A lot of old people i know dont like to change their phones and still use some very old phone. But i dont think they play SWGOH

My take is, until we get an update, if your device is not on the list you are fine.
I believe the processor to be the bigger issue, with the combination of lower than 6.0 forcing this issue. But that part is just my thinking."UnstopableSteve;c-1886600" wrote:
The samsung galaxy s4 uses ARM so by the looks of it should be ok.
It better be otherwise I want a refund on the £100 I've just spent to unlock darth revan.
Btw to guys saying upgrade why should I spend £1000 every year to buy a new phone when I have a perfectly fine working one thats 6 years old.
Can't speak for your carrier, but every few years I am eligible for a free upgrade with mine. I went from an S4 to an S8+. Had this phone since it first came out, and still runs perfect so I hope to keep it for a long time.
