Because nerf could touch team performance against other teams. Plus one of the hype was the part that Merrin can kill full Jabba team. It forced me to whale to get her in first month on my girlfriend’s account. Now what, what sort of nerf it should be?

Did you read his post? He explicitly said the reason he whaled was to beat GL's, so I suspect he would be particularly upset if that were the nerf.

Also, unless there really is a team that is reliably beating Jabba, I don't understand why they care. They have never cared before about two shots or unreliable counters.

Merrin can win you games even at g11, i mean i guess he whaled on that one unit specifically for Jabba at higher gears but if he has Cal Kestis than it would mean that he was whaling regardless
