Very fair assessment.

I have Kylo at G8 I believe. I'm not sure if he's good on his own or not since I don't have much FO toons farmed (phasma, Kylo, pilot).

Is he good as a toon on his own?

Even if you don't use him in arena he is an excellent raid toon. He is now my 2nd highest DPS toon for raids behind boba but slightly ahead of EP. That outrage is beastly on faces and machines.

In the right team, yes. Maybe not at G8 (where mine's at) but yes. He needs some speed on him to be viable and someone to take the heat off of him like Baze or Shoretrooper since his armor is pretty weak.
