So, why am I supposed to spend again?

So, CG, I thought I was done, but we need to talk some more.

Can you please tell me why I'm should feel motivated to spend on new toons now?

A week ago I could spend 150 bucks on a shining new 7 star toon. I could use my ressource stock pile to get it to relics and immideately use the toon in whatever game mode I would like.

Now I need to spend 150 bucks on a 7 star toon, which I can't even use outside of the colosseum. Also if I want to engage in the colosseum, I need to spend several hundreds more to advance my era levels.

And then I still need to suffer cheaters on the leaderboards to chase R10 materials, which is the only reward I get for my additional spending. 

Please tell me why I shouldn't just spend the 150 bucks and just ignore it all together until the toon is released to the legacy system, where I can actually use the toon in game modes which makes sense.

Please tell me the reasoning behind why I should spend several hundred bucks chasing era levels to save materiales which I have thousands of, when I can't use the toon for anything until it's released into the area where my stock pile is anyway.

The new system is just a time gate which lets us look at the new toons for a few months until they go into the legacy area, and THEN we get to use them.

Yes yes, relic 10 is pretty and all. But I really don't care about R10 since it is very hard to get, and I really don't want to pay what you ask for it. Because let's face it: R10 is a 95% paywall.
