That's what I did, but it doesn't make the mechanic any less stupid. R8 shouldn't be harder than R9.

The raid buffs are structured to incentivize us to invest resources into raid team. Saying that R8 tier should be easier than R9 is like saying that a battle against an enemy's GAC team should be easier when your team is R8 than when it's R9. You increased your BB2's power by building up the relics and you are rewarded by being able to score higher easily.
