They aren’t stealth changing the raid. I’ve noticed absolutely nothing of the sort.

If it takes longer, it's because you're getting worse at it.

I felt the opposite! I'm sure they're stealth changing the raid. Like the OP, I'm also finding it harder and harder!
However..........................I've noticed a trend of me thinking this every raid from the first rancor onwards. Not just some, EVERY raid.
My hunch is.......I re-mod or watch guides and forget some of what I did.
However........however......IIRC we were told that this raid would be less time consuming. Yes, it takes less time to complete, but holy stinky purple bat poo is it RNG heavy. That definitely plays with the mind of us raid tin foil hatters!

Naboo had vastly worse RNG, especially for the first 6 months, before CG took pity on us and nerfed the command droid. You could have a nice run going, spend 5 minutes on it, and then run into a wave where droid took 17634 turns and enrage meter went from 60% to 97% in one wave.
O66 RNG is all front loaded in the first wave. You know very quickly if you need to restart the run. If you get to wave 2, you've basically won. I currently run 5 teams for 8.7mln and only one has any degree of significant RNG that might make me restart the run.

It doesn't. From personal experience it gets better as my raid characters get better. Yes, there will be an element of annoying RNG but this is absolutely allieviated by better modding and also improving relic and zetas.
If you really want to save time the 8 dollar a month hot utils membership works for both getting the right mods based on other players success and also reducing the number of retries. Bad Batch 2 is still a pain but mine arent r9 so to be expected because of the mechanics. - DUNCAN191929 days agoRising Ace
This, the front loading is the best bit, for most teams you know within 20 secs if it needs a restart.

I had a good run this week. Clearly, they eased up the difficulty some time in the last 10 days. I expect they'll ramp it back up again soon though! 😆

Sure, using same mode using hot utils to load them no change there. The real problem is they dont know how to make good fights without overuse of RNG

It's really not RNG heavy if you use 5-man teams with the intended leaders (Tarkin, PKHondo, nuMace, Kelleran Beq, Omega F). The exception here is nuBadBatch at r8, which I've heard is a pain even with a full squad. However, even nuBB is fine at r3, r5, r7, and r9. (I assume it's also fine below that, but I'm not coaching anyone through runs below r3.) KB and nuMace work wonderfully at r7 and r8. Tarkin works fine as a 5-man at r7.
Yes, I feel we were hosed that not all these leaders were available Day 1 (or even Month 1) of the raid. That said, what it did do is give room for growth. I think the idea is that the raid will be less boring if you're bringing new squads online every month or two for the first 6-8months of the 12 month raid.
And the good leaders, using 5-man squads, all perform just fine without much RNG required. (Virtually zero if you put extra effort into getting your modding exactly optimal.)
We're greedy and wanted to get 7.2M out of what was intended to be a 3.6M team. Some good theorycrafters figured out a way to do it, but it does require restarting until you get the RNG right for the 3-clones. And we also want to get 3.6M while bringing only 3 JV up to r9 instead of 5. Again, it's possible, and CG hasn't shut those tricks down, but it's designed to be much harder if you aren't using a complete squad.
It doesn't have to be RNG heavy at all. It only becomes so when you underman your team comps to get more points than your teams would score if you don't wait for RNG to come together and just want to win every time.
I'm fine with the RNG tax for clones. I find other RNG annoying and I'm happy getting 2.7 each from my nuMace and KBeq squads. Would I like to get 3.6 each? Sure, but I also want PKHondo, so I'm investing my relic levels elsewhere for now.
