Dear OP,
I sadly became a whale in this game out of frustration. I certainly recognize that this game would be a reasonable value for a one time purchase of 60$ or even a solid value with a $10 a month subscription. It is not worth a penny more.
Unfortunately, I and other whales just like me will for reasons that even we don't entirely comprehend are willing to pay 100s and in some cases thousands of dollars on silly mobile games. Is it the gambling aspect? Is it our respective ocd? Who knows? We do it despite being fully aware that we are 1. being dumb 2. helping ruin the video gaming industry 3. getting robbed.
Sadly, as long as we are willing to do it, Video Game developers are not going to stop cranking out crap.
Sooo long story short. Welcome to the new gaming world.
