Eesh Fahm | Wookieepedia | FandomIn all seriousness, I don't see the issue with OC kits. These kits are never going to be added to the game, so why does it matter if the character is canon or not? For me at least, these kits are just a fun little way to experiment with ideas that I realistically know won't ever come to the game, so why talk down to people who are just expressing their creativity?
The issue isn't creating fan kits, it's that these made up characters are pure fan fiction. As they are made up and don't exist in any official media, they're unlikely to ever appear in the game. Because actual existing characters have a better chance of being considered by the dev team regardless of how many appearances they've had, those threads would be better serving this forum that is intended for discussion of the game.
Until they create an area of the forums just for fan fiction, then I suggest your efforts would be better utilized in places intended just for it like the Star Wars Fanon wiki: https://swfanon.fandom.com/wiki/Star_Wars_Fanon_Wiki
