Start hoarding mods (edited)

Currently, I have over 540+ mods with speed, including speed primary and secondary.

I have stopped farming mods for a long time and only purchase from the mods store. Therefore, every mod comes with a speed, primary or secondary.

I think now is probably a good time to get more mods with speed because of the new “slicing” feature which requires to farm salvage pieces to increase mods’ status.

As a result, the chances of increasing a mod’s status will also incorporate the drop rate of salvage pieces: e.g. 0.02*0.02=0.0004. And I don’t think the drop rate of the required number of salvage pieces is going to be more than 100%.

Edited: feel free to ignore @SoonerJBD for his helpless reply.
  • Sooner seems to have a thorough(understatement) grasp of mods and has been nice enough to provide a great explanation.
Edward, I'm not sure why you're struggling to understand. Regardless your concept of basic mod leveling needs some attention.
I hope you get there eventually.

Wow that was a long post to say “who is bryn?” Bryn = SoonerJBD.

I thought he was famous and I should have known since you mentioned him. Then, I found nobody knows him even in the forum except you.

Maybe there are three Sooners here using different accounts under different names, I used to able able to identify a person by his pattern and logic of typing, successfully caught a guy who has hacked other people’s accounts and trying to pretend to be them.

There are no benefits doing that here, you don’t get any benefits except wasting your time :D
  • No offense intended but looks like SoonerJBD has a better understanding of mods than OP, you should take his advise instead of asking him to get out of your thread.

So it sounds to me like the leveling parts with credits will not change, stats will bump and show as they currently do. We are just getting a new aspect to be able to get 4 secondary stat bumps on every mod regardless of tier

Green 1 with credits 3 with slicing
Blue 2 with credits 2 with slicing
Purple 3 with credits 1 with slicing
    Gold 4 with credits

That's a weird, but still correct way of looking at it.

In my mind, slicing is just a way to get a base gold mod out of a non- base gold mod, and that applies whether you've leveled the mod yet or not. Normally slicing would reveal the additional stats, the same way a gold mod has already revealed all four stats. If leveled first, since leveling actually reveals stats on non- gold mods, slicing would instead boost the stat rather than reveal it. (It's effectively the same thing, just in a different order)

It's just making all non- gold mods -- teal, green, blue, purple and gold -- capable of being gold. So I'd hoard any mod that has the primary and set you want. Depending on how much slicing costs, they all could be worth it.

I tend to find weird ways of looking at something. I did find it the easiest way to explain it to others, based on the very limited info we have.

I never asked him to get out of my thread, you made the same mistake as he did, never read what others actually wrote before you replied, only assumptions made by yourself, which made your post irrelevant and confusing, doesn’t help anyone to understand.

If you don’t agree, check word by word or the implication under my every word or sentence. I never asked him to leave. I hope he can read before reply or best not.

I don’t understand why some people can’t understand plain and simple English, it’s not like I am writing novel or something.

Identical mistake in logic and habit could simply mean the same person using different accounts :D

Folks, I asked us to keep it on-topic and not about comments directed at other users. Since that post more posts have been focused on how things should or shouldn't be written and responding to these comments. This isn't okay and derailed the conversation.
