When will the mentioned events become simmable?

Prior post mentioned when the game is updated, selected events will be changed to simmable. 

> In addition to the above, we will discuss a highly requested Quality of Life update to make many events SIMMABLE which will be coming in a near future update (soonTM)! Plus one more QoL surprise.

The game has been updated twice now, once with a play store update and again with the UI overhaul. Is there another update on the works? If so, when. 

I'm really looking forward to swimming smugglers run, hopefully this is the last time we need to do this manually.

Edit: updated to include the vague verbiage regarding the mention of a "future update". Would love a confirmation of a date!
