Well, depends on what you wish to achieve, I guess.
I think I've beaten it 8/9 times this season. So, from that view point it's not broken.
However, we need to look at a larger picture than this. I.e. what is it doing to the environment.
How many players can't beat it?
How many players are seeing it and '1 and done' their GAC? I'd love to see the figures of battles attempted, battles won, full clears vs non-full clears from this season and the last 3v3 season. I'm sure it's not very positive viewing.
How is it affecting the morale of the players? I know for 100% certainty, that I've been less motivated by this GAC season than any for at least 4 years. The fact I'm going to finish the season 5-4 suggests that my average opponent is feeling the same.
Also, is it in the spirit of the mode to have a team like this? That people see, and instantly give up. My hunch, is it is not.
I'm not sure though, fixing this cron is just the answer. As also mentioned we have Rey/Ezra, I guess this is the first season we've had Ezra in GAC without an unaligned force user cron.
Also, if this cron didn't exist.........would we not have a similar problem with the hoda cron on defence? The fact we need it to counter this cron has meant it's defensive possibilities haven't been explored. My hunch is that would not be the case without the fangy rey cron.
I also feel this is one of the big issues with 3v3. You can get bottle necks like this. I doubt the cron will be quite so sketchy or morale quite so bad in 5v5. It's easier to grind through teams in 5v5.
TLDR
The cron is an issue, in how it is affecting play and morale. However, fixing the cron in someway is only a band-aid fix. There are and will be other issues.
