No, what has happened is
1. A lot of skills have been made useless
2. You can only compete if you have been lucky at the mod lottery. This was meant to be a skill game, not a lottery game. Has this become a casino game? Let us know early enough so that we can quit and install some slot machine game instead, at least we know what we are up to
And this is utter bs also. You can compete without having the best mods. Everyone can beat everyone on offense. My cookie cutter team still gives me wins vs OB/Han/RG/EP/DV/SF/Han/Rey etc and I'm not a whale nor do I have the best mods.
If you lose on offense you are doing something wrong. If you spend your cantina energy on mods you can have decent enough mods that even with a handicap, you can still beat the AI. All you need is a taunt and some brains.
Phasma (L), Fives, Rey, STH & QGJ, worst team on paper but still easy to win.
