In this situation you will have to work really hard to find the right potency mods but at least it is only for one character.
My solution gives the FTP players a shot at competing still vs. spending thousands hoping and praying for the right speed secondarys to level.
Not your solution allows ftp people to have an advantage that makes little sense. You are asking them to program the AI to act outside of logical strategy and basically destroy the strategy and team comps that people have crafted, rather than take the time and create your own squad to counter... you solution is the cry of someone who doesn't wish to put in time and effort, or spend money, and would rather have the number 1 spot handed to them.
The arena is a competition. I enjoy the challenge. It's one of the few left to me, and your solution would be pitiful.
