Because this is a game.

Watched the movie for the 4th time. Rogue One are helping rebels (to get the death star blueprint), doesnt mean they HAVE to be rebels.

I mean, Cassian. K2SO, SRP, Bistan are part of rebels, no problem.

But how about the others?

Jyn is a criminal, listens to her father, a empire scientist. Actually she's been captured by the rebels at the beginning of the movie because of her father's status.
So why is Jyn tagged as rebel? Not scoundrel + empire?

Bodhi is a empire cargo pilot, who listens to Galen (Jyn's father), following Jyn after Galen died. He should be tagged as empire for sure?

Finally Chaze are a terrific duo which Jyn picked up on Jedha. They following Jyn, Jyn following her father, so these 2 should tagged as empire too?

Its a game, why so serious.
