- A team with 40% potency or so would easily be able to land debuffs. Tenacity only works if you go overboard on it.

But the chance of landing a debuff is Tenacity - potency right"Thelegend27;921825" wrote:

Nope. It's some weird formula nobody knows."Thelegend27;921825" wrote:

Yup! With the tenacity chance capped to never go below 15%."Red_Madness;921831" wrote:

Or is it the chance to resist"Thelegend27;921835" wrote:

Yes sorry, thats what I meant. They explained the formula a long time ago here.- ddlooping2New SpectatorI also thought tenacity was kinda equal in power to potency, so when I saw my ~100% tenacity Magmatrooper get double-debuffed by a Boba in the 1st turn I was a bit gutted.

Thanks- Tenacity is always on the losing side of this battle. Potency basically gets a +15% bonus, you would working very hard to get tenacity high enough to matter and all that does is give you better odds....I wouldn't count on it every working out.
- My RG has 96% tenacity and he SOMETIMES resists debuffs.
Basically, tenacity has to be 15% higher than the opponents' potency to be more effective than if you had 0 tenacity.
The opponent alsways has a 15% chance to resist, regardless if they have 150% potency and you have 15% tenacity.
In order to get anything higher than the standard 15% chance to resist you have to get at least 15% over their max potency. For most toons and squads it's a losing battle and it is really frustrating.
So basically against toons like EP or TFP under EP lead it doesn't make much difference.
However some people in arena mods for speed at the expense of potency so RG saves my bacon from the fire every now and again.
Some Boba's in my shard only have 35% potency or so and that gives me a 50/50 chance to resist his debuffs.
