@OBGYN_Kenobi you really should read the post I linked to. I don't think matchmaking works the way you think it does.
Sorry but the post would be a bit irrelevant considering that the point I’m making about the matchmaking is that it does not work and is being taken advantage of.
I just rechecked and my 50 ppl 65 mil gp guild is matched against a 47 ppl 92 mil gp guild.
Last week we were matched against a similar guild setup yet (according to swgoh.gg) before the TW sign up that guild had over 107 mil gp. When they appeared in game they had trimmed their gp under 97 mil (12 3.5 mil gp players in there) and they still qualified to be matched against my guild.
How does matchmaking explain that?
The point you're making may be valid. It's hard to tell since you keep misrepresenting how matchmaking is done when you make your point.

Matching GP is how it works now, and that’s the problem.
This would indicate that at least some of your points are not valid since this is not how matchmaking is done and therefore cannot be "the problem".
How does your guild do in the matchups? We get matched with guilds 15M an 20M GP higher than us most of the time and we still win more than we lose. To me that's more important and, in our experience, suggests the algorithm does work.
Also, evidence would be helpful. The developers are unlikely to find much of value in this thread since there is nothing showing the disparity folks are speaking of.
I hope you get a solution to your problems.
