Yes, I will miss the capital ship shards. I believe it's now a daily event so people can farm it pretty quickly, I guess that's why they've locked the bonus tier, otherwise it would become a huge SSC source under the new regime. I also think the event is not meant to be available to people with 7* anyway, so it might be bugged that it's still appearing for us.
My guild has also just had a good player quit as they said they're not enjoying the game anymore.
