This is how you improve GAC, Prove me Wrong!

First of all, CG and anyone, you are free to use these ideas, I dont want any credits for this now or ever.

Why we need a change at all in GAC? The new player and the lower brackets experience is terrible, gameplay is close to non-existing. Most of the time you are paired with opponents with 3-4-5 or even 10x bigger rosters, and its an either instant lose or a 10 banner match, wich you might win since the oppenent didnt show up but in the end you didnt even get to play the game at all wich is just sad.

CG why is this new methor I am about to describe is good for you? Money. Players will be more likely to spend while its also good for the non spenders as well. Why? Hear me out!

The first 3 tiers of GAC, Carbonite, Bronzium and Chromium should change to have a MAX GP, where you are thrown out (promoted) to the higher bracket accouring to this:

Carbonite: 0-2m GP, if you have 2m+ GP you can not fall back into carbonite ever, doesnt matter how much you lose.
Bronzium 2-4m GP, same as carbonite, you can never fall back to bronzium if you reach 4m+ GP, doesnt matter how much you lose.
Chromium: 4-6m GP, same as previous, cant fall back to chromium if you have 6m+ GP.

Why is it any good? Players get a learing curve, where they get a fair chance against eachother while still providing the competetive part of the game in the early stages as well, and it also encourages players to improve their rosters in any way they can and rewarding them with a sligthly better passive income up to a point where they will be ready for the real competition to get the top ranks. At 6m+ GP if you had a stady learing curve and had a good ammount of time to preapere your roster you will have a chance to defeat way higher oppenents if you outsmart them or made better roster improvments overall.

In the past CG made it sure that its only profiting for players and guilds to improve your roster, so you perform better in other game modes as well, this goes by the same logic. You make roster improvments you get garanteed better rewards while you can keep trying your new improvments have fair games against others in your brackets. Better, more skilled players with deeper knowleadge will be able to progress faster and win more of there matches wich leads to even more rewards, while casual players might not win, they still get a better overall experience.

This methor could also encouarege players to spend to ensure they get to a new bracket for slighty better rewards, or just to buy a single LSB and make use of it instantly while staying in the same bracket. Either way players get way more fair matches and a steady learning curve to GAC, while eventualy everyone is forced out of these brackets and have to face the higher ranks opponents and compete for the Kyber ranks!

Yes there might be people who would like to bloat their rosters the f2p way or cheese in some mix, but overall they just get to the same point where everyone else will be sooner or later where the real GAC fight for the higher ranks begins, while the most of the players get to enjoy the game they like it with a fair challange (even if you oppenent have 6dot mods with 0 speed, everybody deserves a better overall experience and some better rewards for their efforst, and eventualy everyone will have at least the same slighy better rewards if they play the game in any way)

Summery: A learning curve for newer players, a rewarding system for your efforts while maintainging and keeping the competetive part of the game.

This system will probably provide a well balanced and fair experience for newer players for around 1-3 years depending on their progression and spending habbits, while it doesnt really effect older players at all who already earned their places in higher ranks, and it will also help returning players experience as well, so they wont be forced to play against way lower or higher gp players.

Prove me wrong, or use it freely!

Thanks!

  • As someone f2p it took me 5 years to hit Kyber, I don't need help as I realised I needed to either a) pay or b) be patient.

Either approach takes some kind of effort or investment- something you fail to grasp. Your method does not encourage anyone to spend as there is no competive advantage in everyone eventually getting to X level based on their GP with no possibility that their rewards can dip below a certain level. Your thinking on spending is quite frankly nonsensical and is based around your "argument" rather than any kind of actual logic.

You also seem to fail to grasp that the current system based on skill or performance is fair. You win, you get more rewards, you lose you get less.

As for " well balanced and fair experience", show us your swgog.gg- your GAC average win rate will no doubt be around the 45-55% level- this is a "well balanced and a fair experience". In fact this will apply to all but the most skilled as the entire point of such a system is to maintain a 50% win rate so it encourages spending and simulataneously does not put players off.

  • Sadly this will likely not happen due to CG wanting money for the new units added. It is a nice idea if money was not involved in this game

Just gonna point out that 5 years ago the Kyber squish was not a thing. You can check out most new accounts’ GACs to see that they are facing unrealistic opponents. But yeah I agree about the investment thing

The squish has nothing to do with it, its low engagement players who drop that low. If it was that easy to drop then we'd all do it for the extra crystal income. Still back then Id face players with 4x my GP, clearly less than some may get now but still the disparity was there.

Anyway would be interested to see OPs and anyone who complains of GAC to show their GAC history- if its south of 40% win rate then there is an issue and ifs its hovering around 50% then they have no need to complain. It always the way that these kind of posts are never backed up with any kind of data whatsoever.

Terrible idea. The problem with your idea is there would still be people whining that their 1 mil gp account is playing a 2mil gp account, or that someone with 1.99 mil gp gets to play 2mil and under and someone with 2.01 mil gp has to play up to 4, which could be a huge difference in roster quality. Also, by forcing everyone with 6 mil gp above chromium you are 1.) Probably rewarding the low effort players with even more crystals and encouraging that behavior which might decrease spending. Why spend money or play more when I can sit in aurodium for nothing? And 2.) You'd still have a "wall" of lazy high gp accounts sitting someplace that'd you'd have to play and possibly lose to, just that you'd have more gp.

It was mentioned in another thread, I do think maybe <750k-1mil should maybe have a league no one higher can fall into to learn gac and get some experience.

  • No one here will set out to prove you wrong.  They will likely just tell you nothing you have suggested is something CG hasn't considered.  They have reasons for doing things the way they are.

I don't like that in Aurodium I'm facing accounts with 8 GLs to my 3, consistently.  Had I not quit playing for 4 years, I'd be steamrolling them.  That's the way it is.
