They did just give us 3* and 4* characters.

With...no information about the pack price. Over a week between the start of the event and the unveiling of the pack...enough time for people to gear them and want them maxed. Enough time for people to have their minds set on buying the packs. Only to unleash the worst value I have ever seen in any game in all my life.

I guess we should say thanks for the gift?
