The “free” episode track no longer is free

I haven’t paid any money at all and I today got to box 48 on the free track. How can it not be completed? 

I did not pay any money and I play every day! I did not manage to do any of the challenge feats! So yeah I am in 42 and I will not finish it! 

Same - just got to 48 on the track after being able to complete the Chapter 2 Episode Quests.  I just need 2 possible Quests in order to complete 50.  But, the Episode Quest Chapter 4 will be impossible to complete for me unless they add another Era Challenge feat like they did for Luke Era challenge. Or bring back the Luke Era challenge.   

How do you figure you will not finish if you are already at 42? Six more episode feats is box 48, and six days of dailies gives you almost 5 more boxes. At the very least you should be able to hit the bonus chest twice, if not three times.

Because I am sure that I won't be able to finish the next episode quests. This is CG... even before reaching 50 was a struggle for me. Now is just a PURE **bleep**!

I have to agree with this one. Feats that aren't part of the paid episode pass should all be possible to complete hassle-free. Era Challenge feats are not hassle free. They explicitly lock out people who haven't bought the pass and haven't spent crystals on the Era upgrade packs, which are crap that we should all ignore. 

Smells like bs in here. 

How do you know you won't be able to complete them?

If you were struggling to make 50 before, what made you expect to get 50 now? What exactly changed? Once your account is levelled up, you should have no trouble completing all feats outside of something like this.

F2P player here. I have reached level 42 so far, and I even missed two quests that required you to participate in a TW. With 6 days left, I will likely reach 48 simply through daily quests. Given that there are several episode quests yet to be revealed, it’s likely I can complete some of those and reach 50. Your chances of completing the episode track and earning the LST as a F2P player are very good, especially if you were able to participate in a TW and get those quests. Is it annoying that a “free” quests seems to require you to pay after all? Yes. But you will probably still complete the track. But if you want complete it as F2P you will need to play pretty much every day and complete the daily quests every day.
