I still assert that there are plenty of other mobile games that offer sandbox and challenge modes that literally cost the players nothing.....

Just curious how is it a ridiculous suggestion? How would you go about monetizing a sandbox mode? Note I never asserted that it needed monetization, just provided an idea of how to do it, directly in line with the conversation that CG will not introduce a sandbox mode as they can not monetize it.
